A quality education starts with access to quality resources. When students and teachers have the tools and support they need to succeed, every child has an opportunity to thrive. At United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, we understand that success in the classroom creates a foundation for life, ensuring kids have greater access to education, income and health—the building blocks of opportunity.
As we head back to school this fall, United Way is hosting a Stock the School initiative, with presenting sponsors AT&T and Mr. Cooper Group, as part of our Aspire United Volunteer Series by Texas Instruments. The event will unite the community to ensure our North Texas students and teachers walk into the classroom confident, empowered and prepared.
On August 1 and 2 at four local schools, volunteers will collect and stock essential learning supplies and revitalize areas of the schools to create a refreshed and positive learning environment. Projects will include remodeling teacher workspaces, organizing and cleaning shared spaces, assembling and installing updated décor, and more.
